There is something uniquely beautiful about wintertime in the mountains. B&K booked us for their autumn wedding but knew they wanted to have a different season for their engagement session. After I sent some recommendations for locations, they were set on Lake Minnewanka and I don’t blame them! Lake Minnewanka is great because it has beautiful scenery with minimal physical effort required. There is also a lot of variety in just one location which I love as a Banff photographer.

Tips for your Engagement Session

Some fun tips to make the most our of your engagement session can include:

  • Go outfit shopping! Or send your photographer some of your outfit options if you have any questions.

  • Bring props that are meaningful to you.

  • Have items in a bag that you can carry around (this couple brought a ROLLING mini suitcase contraption and it was genius).

  • Embrace whatever weather you get! (unless it’s -40celsius lol).
