As a Banff and Canmore Engagement Photographer, I absolutely love sunset in the mountains. I have photographed Peyton Lake many times, but there are always unique perspectives to be had! Although the weather was uncertain, we were able to have a lovely golden hour engagement session in the mountains. Tips for Hiking Engagement Sessions

While this hike isn’t too far in length, it helps to wear hiking shoes and change at the location (unless your shoes are comfortable of course).

M ended up wearing her dress and hiking in it, while wearing some layers over top to stay warm. If you want to do a hiking engagement session, you can also bring a separate outfit and change in nature!

Be ready for unpredictable weather! We plan as much as possible however sometimes nature has other ideas, especially in the mountains.
